Ecclesiastical Museum
Artifacts, books and clothes of the Orthodox Church
The Ecclesiastical Museum of Amorgos is located in Chora Amorgos. The exhibits include items of Early Christian, Byzantine and post-Byzantine art. Icons, vestments, Crosses, gospels and offerings are some of the artifacts of the museum.
There are also books that date back to the 11th century A.D. as well as manuscripts from the Monastery of Panayia Chozoviotissa, which includes about one hundred codes from the 10th to the 18th century.
