The Folklore Museum of Amorgos is a new museum that was opened in the summer of 2019, to showcase the tradition of Amorgos and the everyday life of the locals. The museum is hosted in the house of the local hero Choratis Theodoros Passaris, who was killed fighting against the Ottomans in 1824.
In the museum, one may see, traditional clothing, everyday tools, manual looms, local products, and artifacts from the customs of the island, while the visitors will learn more about the life of the islanders.
