Xerotigana

Xerotigana are the traditional deep-fried sweets of Amorgos island. They are created with flower, olive oil, salt, sugar, lemon juice and honey and its offered almost in every joyful moment of the Amorgian life.

Every summer, in the end of July, Amorgian’s celebrate their favouris sweet in “Xerotigano’s feast”, where both locals and visitors are welcomed to see the sweets preparation and of course taste it accompanied with Psimeni Raki.
